4/11/2024 (4th and 5th Batch): Registration Link
Happy to announce our next formal introductory chess program!! Thanks to Abirami Sureshkumar and Vihaana Subhash who are volunteering her time to lead this program!! 10-12 classes. 3-5 kids per program. Age 5+. Chess-Step 1 curriculum will be followed. Parents must be present during the class to make this program a success. Home assignments will be given, and kids are expected to return them to successfully complete the program. First come, first serve.
Please note that we are introducing a $50 fee per student for this entire course. This fee is exclusively used to offset logistical expenses, including chess books and either a $20 Chess Cardinals gift voucher for tournament participation OR to provide a standard chess set. This program is made possible by the passion of our dedicated volunteers and every dollar goes towards enriching the participants’ chess experience. This fee does not compensate our volunteer instructors or staff, which reflects our commitment to keeping the program accessible and community focused. However, if the fee is a concern, please do let us know.
1/10/2024 (3rd Batch): We started a dedicated Wednesday night for C4K Introductory Chess Camps. Thanks, Vihaana, for helping our new students! Thanks to Abirami Sureshkumar to direct this program. Our 3rd batch of introductory chess program for beginners concluded today, with 10 young talents successfully completing the course, all thanks to the guidance and dedication of their tutor. Ready to make their next move. Here’s to endless possibilities and future checkmates. We also celebrated the graduation of our second batch of introductory chess classes! We’re so proud of these new chess minds and can’t wait to see their journey unfold. First Batch: July 13th to Sept 7th
Our Chess Cardinals introductory course concluded earlier than with three young girls graduating as the first batch! Aim high and make us proud, graduates!
